The Hill City Police Department consists of 1 full-time officer and 4 part-time officers.  The Police Department is an active member of the Itasca County Towards Zero Death Coalition (TZD), Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association and Northern Law Enforcement Executive Administration Council.  Through these associations the Police Department has received thousands of dollars in police equipment free of charge.  The Police Department has been teaching D.A.R.E since 2006 in the Hill City School.
